We design the voyage — and everything either side of it.

Cruising is the easiest way to see many places without moving hotel every second day. It is also the format most often sold as a commodity — same ship, same cabin grade, same three shore excursions. We treat it differently.

Every sailing we recommend has been walked, boarded, or shadowed by someone on our desk. We match the ship to how you actually travel — small expedition vessels for polar and remote itineraries, river ships for slow European or Southeast Asian rivers, premium and luxury liners for grand voyages where the ship itself is a destination.

And the sailing is only half of the trip. Pre- and post-cruise days, private shore experiences, airport transfers, hotel category, dietary and mobility requirements — all of it is designed together, not stitched on afterwards.

Cruise questions we get asked

What kinds of cruises does FTT arrange?
Ocean, river, and small-ship expedition — from grand liners in the Mediterranean and Caribbean to Rhine, Danube and Mekong river voyages, to expedition sailings in Antarctica, the Arctic, Galápagos and the Kimberley. We work with mainstream, premium and luxury lines and pick the ship, cabin category and itinerary that fit your travellers, not a house preference.
Do you handle hotels, flights and transfers around the sailing?
Yes. A cruise is one movement inside a longer trip. We design the pre- and post-cruise days — city stays, private guiding, shore experiences beyond the ship's excursion desk, and every airport-to-quay transfer — so the whole journey lands cleanly.
Can you get better cabins or fares than booking direct?
Often. We hold negotiated group inventory with many lines and layer amenity offers (onboard credit, gratuities, drinks packages, complimentary category upgrades) that aren't visible on the public website. Where the cruise line's direct price is genuinely best, we say so and match it.
Are the shore excursions FTT arranges different from the ship's?
They can be. Ship excursions are built for crowds and coach loading — perfect for some ports, wrong for others. In destinations we know intimately (Hong Kong, Kyoto, Dubrovnik, Reykjavík, Bhutan, and beyond) we send private guides, small groups and quieter routes, and time the return to the ship precisely.
Do cruises work for solo travellers and multi-generation families?
Both, well. We flag lines and sailings with waived single supplements or dedicated solo cabins for lone travellers, and family-cabin configurations, connecting-suite layouts and kids' clubs for multi-gen groups. We size the ship to the mix — a river vessel of 130 guests behaves nothing like a 4,000-passenger mega-ship.
